Launch Event

The Prologue launches on Ethereum mainnet on Tuesday, 7 July 2026.

To celebrate, we'll be running a launch event for the first three weeks, until Tuesday, 28 July 2026, with rewards for the players who show up early.

In-Game Rewards

OG Cosmetic Reward

Those of you who complete a festival in the event period will earn a unique cosmetic item. Whether you win or lose, you will receive a soulbound toggleable cosmetic for your Taruchi. This cosmetic will be preserved onchain forever and can only be earned during the launch event. This item will be airdropped to eligible players after the launch event has finished.

Ascension Bonuses

The first 10 players to Ascend will receive an additional $250 USDC cash prize, alongside the festival winnings. These prizes will be sent out manually within a few weeks of each player Ascending.

Content Competition

Alongside the in-game rewards, the launch event has a content competition: three weeks of making things, with $1,000 in prizes split across two divisions. They work like the game does: Festivals are where the big stakes live, Duels are the everyday lane anyone can win.

Festival Division

For the heavy hitters: guides, videos, longposts, art, analysis, tools, etc. Anything with real effort behind it.

  • Champion Prize: $350. The best single piece of content of the launch window.

  • Veteran Prize: $200. Second place.

  • Rookie Prize: $150. Third place. Alive and climbing, which is more than most can say.

Duel Division

For the moments: battle clips, memes, screenshots, small wonders. Four prizes of $75 each.

How to enter

  1. Post your work on Twitter/X tagging @asph0d37

  2. Drop the link in the #launch-comp-submissions channel on the Asphodel Discord

  3. Submissions close at the end of the window (Tuesday, 28 July 2026)

The rules

  • Submit as much as you like across the window. Every entry is considered individually.

  • All prizes are judged by the Asphodel team on quality, at the close of the window.

  • Almost any kind of content is eligible. AI-assisted work is acceptable; low-effort slop will not be considered, whether it is AI or not. A good submission is high quality, shows real engagement with the game, and performs well.

  • Winners need an ETH wallet to receive prizes.

  • All cash prizes, both divisions, are paid out in a single batch after the competition closes.

  • Must be 18 or over, void where prohibited, winners are responsible for their own taxes.
