# Referrals

Know someone who should be in the arena? Want to play with friends?

Every player has a personal referral link, and referring pays. You earn 33% of all fees generated by your recruits, forever and ever - so roughly 3.3% of all ONYX spent in the app.

### Your link

Find it under **Profile → Refer a Friend** and hit **Copy Referral Link**. You can set your referral code manually if you like; otherwise it uses your wallet address. Share it anywhere.

When someone opens your link and mints their **first Taruchi**, you are recorded on-chain as their referrer, permanently, and your Successful Referrals count ticks up. During onboarding they'll see a small "Referred by..." line under the mint details, so they know the link worked.

### What you earn

Every time a recruit of yours spends ONYX, a share is carved out for you. It comes out of the **team's** cut, never your recruit's: they pay nothing extra, ever.

* Your recruit mints a Taruchi: **0.33 ONYX**
* Your recruit enters a Festival of Buds: **0.17 ONYX**
* Your recruit enters a Festival of Flowers: **0.33 ONYX**
* Your recruit enters a Festival of Ascension: **0.5 ONYX**
* Your recruit rerolls: **0.1 to 0.3 ONYX**, scaling with the league

This is per event, not one-time. Referral is attached to the account, not the Taruchi, so a dedicated player will be generating referral fees as long as they play.

### Claiming

Rewards accrue automatically to your claimable balance in the **Refer a Friend** section. Hit **Claim** whenever you like and the ONYX transfers straight to your wallet. Rewards never expire. (Claiming requires an account of your own, meaning at least one mint.)

### The fine print

* A referral is set **once, at first mint, permanently**. It can never be changed afterward, so it has to be in place before the first mint.
* Already-existing accounts can't be claimed retroactively.
* If someone opens more than one referral link before their first mint, the **most recent** one wins.
* Links don't expire.
